Director – The Achievement Network Australia
Barbara is
an industrial psychologist, who has spend her working life assisting directors
and senior board members bring about the business changes they require in order
to run successful organisations. With a focus on the direct connection between
people's ability to change and its impact on bottom line results, Barbara
believes that people's ability to change has a direct impact on an
organisation's ability to change.
Barbara has
had extensive experience in the strategic human resource and organisational
development fields, having coached and mentored senior executives and directors
across South Africa and Australia. Her focus has always been ensuring that
appropriate processes are in place in order for employees to contribute to
achieving the strategic goals of an organisation.
Throughout
her career, Barbara has worked within many different industries, including
finance, insurance, health, retail, logistics, advertising, aged care,
recruitment consulting and restaurant management. She has facilitated strategic
planning processes for small and medium businesses, implemented team
development interventions for executive teams, and has ensured the alignment of
relationships between different parts of an organisation so that business
outcomes could be achieved more effectively.
As a
consultant, Barbara centres on the "strategic people issues" that
businesses are facing today, and works with line managers to help them think
differently about how to resolve these issues effectively so that business
outcomes can be achieved.
